ARC (Association of Retarded Citizens) $500 Advocacy Award to NAMI
On Thursday May 15th at their annual awards dinner, ARC presented
NAMI Butler County with an Advocacy and Education Award from memorial
funds donated in commemorating the life of Robbie Neubert. ARC felt that
NAMI, like ARC, is a premier grassroots advocacy organization in Butler
County for people who have disabilities. The ARC organization expressed
that NAMI and ARC represent the same values and concerns for the
disabled as we both lobby for legislation that treats people who have
disabilities with justice and compassion. The award was accompanied by a
$500 donation.
NAMI of Butler County is very grateful for this award and gave our
assurances that we will continue to embrace advocacy efforts, along with
ARC, for the populations both organizations represent. Special thanks go
to Robbie’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Neubert, for their choosing
NAMI as the recipient of this most meaningful award.
