FAMILY-TO-FAMILY

All Classes and Materials are Free. 

Family-to-Family is a free, twelve-week, education program for family members and friends of individuals who are struggling with mental illness. Call 860-8386 to be added to our registration list.

Topics covered:

  • Current information on major brain disorders
  • The latest information about medications (including side effects and strategies for promoting medication adherence)
  • Information about the most effective treatments available
  • What to do in a crisis
  • How to handle relapse and hospitalization
  • Problem solving and communication skills
  • Advocating for your loved ones
  • Taking care of yourself so you are better able to help your loved one

By the end of the 12-week session, participants will have a notebook full of materials to keep for ongoing reference. This class has proven to make a positive impact on family members and their loved ones. Information really is power and in this case it's free!
