FAMILY-TO-FAMILY

Family-to-Family is a free, twelve-week, education program for family members and friends of individuals who are struggling with mental illness. Call 860-8386 to be added to our registration list.

Topics covered:

Current information on major brain disorders
The latest information about medications (including side effects and strategies for promoting medication adherence)
Information about the most effective treatments available
What to do in a crisis
How to handle relapse and hospitalization
Problem solving and communication skills
Advocating for your loved ones
Taking care of yourself so you are better able to help your loved one

By the end of the 12-week session, participants will have a notebook full of materials to keep for ongoing reference. This class has proven to make a positive impact on family members and their loved ones. Information really is power and in this case it's free!
